LBCA Successfully advocated to ower Taxes on the supply chain in 2019. From 6% to 1% for
for a 15% total decrease in cannabis taxes
LBCA partnered with Long Beach City College on cannabis courses for workforce training. Curriculum started in 2020 with an 8-week Introduction to the Cannabis Industry 101.
Curriculum includes Cannabis History, Cannabis Science, the entire California Cannabis supply chain from Cultivation and Manufacturing through Distribution, Retail and Testing Labs plus Cannabis Business Law and Cannabis HR Workforce and Career Exploration.
In Summer of 2021, Saturday workshops began for 102-level cannabis education.

Community Food Distribution Partnership with Help Me Help You Long Beach Every Second and Fourth Wednesdays from 11am-12:15pm
Distributing bags of fresh produce, frozen meats, and canned goods.
